I’m taking on The Long Run
This September for Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, I’m taking part in The Long Run to raise funds for life-saving research and support.
This cause is deeply personal to me. In late May 2026, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer following a routine check-up. I had zero symptoms, but catching it early made all the difference. I underwent a successful prostatectomy a month later and I am currently on the mend and recovering well.
While my medical care is fully taken care of, my experience proved to me that early detection saves lives. I’m using this opportunity to turn my journey into action—NOT to cover my own treatment, but to raise awareness so other men get checked early and to support families facing a diagnosis.
100% of the funds raised through this page go directly to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA). Your donation helps PCFA:
- Fund breakthrough research for better treatments and cures.
- Deploy Specialist Nurses to support men and families through diagnosis and recovery.
