This September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. Prostate cancer is Australia’s leading cause of cancer, with 72 men newly diagnosed every day.
It is now 19 years since my Prostate Cancer diagnosis leading to open radical prostatectomy on 22 July 2006. I was 57 with no PC family history.
“Dunn Runn” is the team combining with my son Alexander. Hopefully, he will not confront this disease. With an affected first degree relative, your chances are increased by 2 to 4 times.
Even if so, let’s hope early diagnosis and more treatment options are available.
