Running for Dad
Last month, my dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer, and life was forever changed.
Though Dad's prognosis is relatively good, the dreaded 'c' word has a devastating impact.
Dad is one of my favourite people in the whole world; we have the same brain, we see our favourite concerts together, have late night conversations, quote Monty Python, and most special of all, dad is my son's idol. More precious than 'dad', he is 'grandad'.
This September for Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, I’m giving it all I’ve got by taking part in The Long Run.
Prostate cancer is Australia’s leading cause of cancer, with 79 men newly diagnosed every day.
