Day 30 - The Last Day

Last day today of The Long Run! Thank you very much to all of my generous sponsors. I am fairly confident nobody is reading these blogs - but if you are, and if you donated to this cause - thank you!

Day 26 - 26/9/26

So I got some comments that none of the photos were proof I was actually out walking! Scurrilous and scandalous suggestions. Anyway, nice walk this morning out around the mountain today with the flower, who snapped this as proof.

Day 25 - 25/9/26

Nice walk with the flower today. Was a pretty hot morning and snapped this danger noodle getting a bit too close for my liking...

Day 21-24 - 21/9/26 to 24/9/26

Again, the working week isn't exactly exciting or photo worthy - but I did rack up a few km's going for coffee! And one walk around the park - in my lunch break of course....

Day 20 - 20/9/26

Had a lazy rest day yesterday, not even worth writing about, but made up for it today with a long 3 hour walk out of town. Almost 18kms. Heaps of magpies around side-eyeing me which was daunting but got home unscathed. Beautiful day for a walk today, nearly even went for a second one this arvo but figured 18km was more than enough for one day...

Day 18 - 18/9/26

Day off and a cracker of a day. Went for a nice 11km walk with the flower. Was going fine until we came across these cows grazing in the Commons, and instead of them letting us pass we ended up spooking them about 300m down the road. I think the cocky watching them was cranky at us... not our fault they were skittish! Ended up cutting the walk short and turning around so they didn't end up too far away.

Days 14-17 - 14/9/26 to 17/9/26

Not a hell of a lot to talk about here. Worked and taught a course so didn't do as many KMs as I would have liked! Bring on the weekend

Day 13 - 13/9/26

10kms today on my usual out of town walk. Magpies are starting to get to know me now, which should pay dividends this spring when they decide not to swoop when I go past

Day 12 - 12/9/26

Nice little 6km walk this afternoon around town with the boys. The eldest one piked out and called in a mum-pick up about the 5k mark, meanwhile this little Thomas the Tank Engine..

Day 11 - 11/9/26

8kms along the same road out of town - always better to escape all the traffic noise! Snakes are definitely starting to warm up - couple of black snakes popped out to say hello on the way up to the mountain...

Day 10 - 10/9/26

Long one today - did a PB in a single walk - 16km - which I'm pretty happy with! Really nice weather too. I set out to only do about 8-10kms but had a Forrest Gump moment: just kept on walking....

Days 7-9 - 7/9/26 to 9/9/26

Work days.. no photos this time - because walking for coffee, lunch and around the office really isn't photo worthy!

Day 6 - 6/9/26

Father's Day meander around the back of town, a beautiful day today! 12kms out and back.

Day 5 - 5/9/26

Windy 5kms around town before the rain arrives.

Days 2-4 - 2/9/26 to 4/9/26

Some nice walks along the Wollondilly River the last couple of days! 10km afternoon on day 2, and 6km morning on day 3.

Day 1 - 1/9/26

Knocked out a quick 6km lap of town to kick the challenge off, while there was some daylight left. Off to Goulburn for a few days so will have somewhere different to walk for the rest of the week

I’m taking on The Long Run

This September for Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, I’m giving it all I’ve got by taking part in The Long Run.

Prostate cancer is Australia’s leading cause of cancer, with 79 men newly diagnosed every day.

Will you donate today to raise funds for Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and help end the pain of prostate cancer? Together, we can make prostate cancer history.

Thank you. 💙🙏
