I’m making prostate cancer history.
I’m taking on The Long Run
I had a radical prostatectomy on 21/8/21 and did The Long Run the next month, at my own pace and carefully (there are no restrictions to how you do the long run).
The higher cause empowered me and lifted my spirits. Raising awareness and funds ( every little bit counts ) spurred me on.Â
I felt so much better at the end of the month, that I promised myself that I would do The Long Run every year for the rest of my life.Â
Exercise is so important for our wellbeing and what better way to create awareness for the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia.Â
Sadly Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia doesn’t receive the same level of funding and awareness of other Cancer organisations in Australia.Â
Let’s make a difference!
