I’m making prostate cancer history.

I’m taking on The Long Run

This September for Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, I’m giving it all I’ve got by taking part in The Long Run.

I’m aiming to walk 100km during the month.

Prostate cancer is Australia’s leading cause of cancer, with 72 men newly diagnosed every day.

Around two years ago I was personally diagnosed with prostate cancer, and shortly after had surgery (a radical prostatectomy).  As the cancer had spread, I subsequently needed radiation therapy as well as hormone treatment and fortunately the cancer is now at undetectable levels.

As such, I know first hand that early detection via a simple Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) blood test could potentially save your live or that of a loved one.  Do you know your PSA score?
