I’m making prostate cancer history.

Last day but one. What a journey. :-)

Well the distance is covered and hopefully i have raised some awareness. Together with the help of friends, family and colleagues i have raised over $3000 for the Prostate Cancer Foundation. Thankyou to all involved.
Its not too late to add any loose change to the tally.
Have enjoyed this experience and may just have added a healthy habit to my routine. Luv yas all..

On the downhill stretch. Yesterdays walk in the Lovely Mt Gambier.

This has been a great kickstart to better choices, still a  final push but almost there. Lets get that loose change out and top this up.

Day 4 and a happy Saturday...

treadmill walk today so a little different. Threw some light freeweights in as well.

Day 3 walk done

Do I need to test if I have no symptoms? Yes. Prostate cancer has no symptoms when it first develops, which means PSA testing is vital to early detection.

What are the symptoms? 
These are some of the symptoms that tend to develop once prostate cancer has become more advanced: 
Urinary symptoms including frequent urination, poor urine stream, dribbling at the end of passing urine, or slow to start the urine flow.
Blood in the semen or urine. 
Pain on urination or ejaculation. 
Unexpected fatigue and weight loss. 
Back or pelvic pain.

Day 2 feeling good... Did you know a PSA test could save your life.?

A PSA test is a simple blood test.
No need to drop your pants, just roll up your sleeve.

Even the longest journey starts with the smallest step.....

I have begun the journey to help make Prostate cancer history. From recent personal experience i have learnt just how common this kind of cancer is
In Australia, 1 in 6 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. About 3,000 of our dads, brothers, husbands, sons and mates will lose their battle every year.
