I’m taking on The Long Run Challenge this September 2025
This September I’m taking part in The Long Run for Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. Though I am certainly not a runner, I am aiming to run 72km by the end of September for the 72 men diagnosed with prostate cancer everyday in Australia.
Last September looked very different for my family when my dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Dad has spent his whole life as a doctor helping patients and then all of a sudden became the patient himself. It was confronting to see a very fit, healthy and lively 56 year old suddenly dependent on others. Unfortunately, this is an all too familiar scenario for many families in Australia.
