Neil Dickinson

The Long Run 2022

I am running in honour of everyone affected by prostate cancer.

I am running as a survivor

i'm giving it all i've got

of 120km

12 months after being diagnosed with locally advanced prostate cancer. Having biopsy, surgery and treatments. I’m dedicated to giving back. I’m trying to say a BIG thank you to all of the support I’ve been given (with the help of my sponsors!!)

I am Neil Dickinson and I'm trying to raise awareness for men's health, in particular prostate cancer and the importance of seeing your GP and getting it checked (early!!) by doing what I know best and that’s running 🏃‍♂️

I'm taking on the 56km Yurrebilla Ultra Marathon on the 25th September through the Adelaide Hills as a challenge to myself to raise funds for Prostate Cancer Foundation Australia (PCFA).

Prostate Cancer will not stop me doing the things I love.

Hopefully future generations of men, like me will benefit immensely.

I’ve added a link below of "My Story" (edited and published by PCFA to their social media)

So between now and the end of September please feel free to have a look, reach out and if you can spare a few dollars, myself and blokes just like me will be very very grateful 😇

You can follow my progress via Strava on the following link

I’m taking on The Long Run to support the 1 in 5 men in Australia who will be diagnosed with prostate cancer.

I’d love for you to support me on this challenge and make a donation to PCFA.

Every dollar will support men and their families impacted by prostate cancer. It’ll motivate me to smash my 100km plus target and also keep me near the top of the fundraising leaderboard 😉

Thank you so much for your support.

PS. Your donation to Prostate Cancer Foundation Australia is tax deductible and you'll receive a receipt via email.

The photo was my final round of 39 radiotherapy sessions. I used my old Footy number (the irony) as the milestone celebration.

Thank you to my sponsors
