I’m making prostate cancer history.

Day 3

Pushed my walk out to 7km this morning. Catching up from not walking yesterday. I was on Nanna duty yesterday but I’m sure if cardio counted towards kilometres I would’ve added a few. Playing catch me Nanna with a fast nearly 3 yr old around the trees in the garden 😅
Walking is the perfect time for me to process & reflect on things that are on my mind.
I’ll be honest! The one constant on my mind that I try to push to the back of the mind is David’s next PSA blood test. I’m sure this will be the new normal for me as this test is repeated every 3 months because he is high risk.
I want every male over 40 to get regular PSA blood tests. Don’t wait for symptoms because sometimes there are none. Just ask David ☹️

Day 1

Ralph the kelpie & I started walking in beautiful spring weather. My walking track is on the farm so I got to see the fat lambs grazing and some wheat crops looking amazing.
Six months ago I didn’t even know if we would still be here working on this farm because of David’s prostate cancer diagnosis in February.
But we are 💙

I’m taking on The Long Run

This September for Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, I’m giving it all I’ve got by taking part in The Long Run.

Prostate cancer is Australia’s leading cause of cancer, with 79 men newly diagnosed every day.
