I am running as a survivor
i'm giving it all i've got
Dancing on the inside 😊💜🕺
Last year whilst my wife and I were up in Queensland I decided to have another PSA test, just in case. Well a few days later on 13/8/21, I had a PSMA PET CT scan. Then on Sunday 15/8/21, my new Urologist advised me of a hot spot and booked me in for a prostate biopsy. Wednesday 18/8/21, I was advised I had high grade level 9 prostate cancer. Saturday 21/8/21, I had a radical prostatectomy.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
It all happened very fast and I was very fortunate to be in the right place at the right time. 😊💜🙏
As you all know PSA tests are an accurate marker of potential prostate issues. My PSA levels after the operation started increasing again, not a good sign, so I started looking at all the options. I have just finished a photodynamic therapy treatment program via NIIM ( National Institute of Integrative Medicine ).
My PSA levels are lower now and time will tell what happens!
What I do appreciate more than ever is the power of now, that we can all learn and become more aware of the importance of self care through diet, exercise, rest and balance.
Cheers to BALD ☯️😊💜🍻
Balance/ Awareness/ Love/ Diet ( and or dancing on the inside🕺).
I can’t run 72 km in September for “The Long Run” but I should be able to walk it, especially now with my new hip 🥳💜🕺I’ll be dancing on the inside too.
Bring it on baby !
I’m taking on The Long Run
This September, I’m giving it all I’ve got by taking part in The Long Run.
It’s Australia’s leading cause of cancer, with 66 men newly diagnosed every day.
Will you donate today and help us end the pain of prostate cancer?
Together, we can make prostate cancer history.
