I’m making prostate cancer history.
1km for every diagnosis a day
I’m running 72km this month inspired by prostate cancer survivor and conqueror, Darren. Why 72? 72 Australian men diagnosed with prostate cancer each day.
This effort is to raise funds for prostate cancer research. Prostate cancer doesn’t just affect the body, it brings with it inevitable and often unaddressed depression. There is an huge gap in the a lack of support that leaves men and families struggling in silence. That has to change.
Not many have Darren’s grit, and too many lives are lost unnecessarily. Running this many kilometres in one month is well outside my comfort zone but it’s nothing compared to the lifelong challenges of prostate cancer. Every step helps fund research, support, and hope
