I’m making prostate cancer history.
I’m taking on The Long Run
This September for Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, I’m giving it all I’ve got by taking part in The Long Run.
Well, actually I will be walking to be kind to my knees.
But, at this point, I have reached half way (plus a bit) in my goal, so I have decided to get in touch with a few people to share my commitment to this undertaking.
I have decided to walk at least 144 km.
Why?? I am 72 and with 2 brothers impacted by radical prostate procedures, I thought 2x72=144. So there we are.
I am uploading images as I walk. A couple from Sydney, and the rest from home walks.
So, that is what I am up to this month, and if you want to add to the donation target, THAT WOULD BE WONDERFUL!!
Prostate cancer is Australia’s leading cause of cancer, with 72 men newly diagnosed every day.
I am walking because four people within my immediate circle of contacts have had radical procedures associated with prostate cancer.
So this walk is in recognition of their experience but also a certain amount of gratitude that I have not had to experience what they did.
Will you donate today to raise funds for Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and help end the pain of prostate cancer? Together, we can make prostate cancer history.

Thank you. 💙🙏
