I’m making prostate cancer history.
I’m taking on The Long Run
This September it will be two and a half years since I was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer which had spread to my pelvic bones and spine.
The first year I completed the Long run after undergoing radiation and Chemo in the months leading up to September.
The following year I fractured my foot in 2 places which stopped me from running until mid August. I enlisted a physio and personal trainer to help me to get back running, just in time for the Long run.
This year the battle with the ongoing side effects from hormone therapy has slowed me down but I’m still out there running. I’ve worked hard in the gym to keep my bones and muscles as strong as possible.
This September for Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, I’m taking part in the long Run by running 120 kilometres for the month.
Prostate cancer is Australia’s leading cause of cancer, with 72 men newly diagnosed every day.
Will you donate today to raise funds for Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and help end the pain of prostate cancer? Together, we can make prostate cancer history.
Thank you. 💙🙏
