I’m making prostate cancer history.
My ‘WHY’ for taking on The Long Run
A random check up with a new GP when I first moved back to Sydney was an unexpected blessing. It started with a slightly elevated PSA for my age, then an active monitoring program over 3years with multiple MRI’s, biopsies and other trial tests. Slow change until late 2024 when my PSA spiked.
Could it be an infection, could it be an abnormal test result, could something be changing. It ended up being an easy decision, remove the prostate and eliminate the risk.
12 months on and no sign of the cancer. Back running and living a normal life with some minor incontinence during heavy exercise and ED still a work in progress.
If my steps help even one of you guys book a check‑up, it’s worth it. If you want to support, you can share the cause, donate, or start a men’s health chat with your mates.
