72km for Matt. 72km for Hope.
On 20 March 2024, our lives changed forever when Matt was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer. Stage 4. Already metastatic to his bones.
After more than a year of fighting, on 15 May 2025 we were told the treatment had failed.
It felt like the world stopped.
Then a potential lifeline……
On 13 June 2025, Matt was screened for a clinical trial, and by 19 June, he was enrolled.
That trial is the reason we have hope.
It’s means he has a strong possibility of seeing our beautiful grandbabies grow up.
Without research, without the clinical trial, I’d likely be planning a funeral, way too soon.
Matt’s Muses will walk… run… crawl or even roll… perhaps a somersault thrown in…. 72km as part of The Long Run …… to raise funds for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.
Every kilometre is for Matt, and for the 72 Australian men diagnosed every single day.
