I’m taking on The Long Run!

This September, I’m taking part in The Long Run.

I’ve committed to conquering 72KMs to raise funds and awareness for Aussie men and families fighting prostate cancer.

I have been through prostate cancer and know the pain of it, joining Fort Courage to support an incredible person that has supported me since I was diagnosed, one incredible strong woman. Get on board people, there is a cure out there, more men die from this than woman with breast cancer, because most men won't talk about it. Get tested please.

Please support me by making a tax deductible donation to Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.

Together, we can make sure our fathers, brothers, sons, husbands and mates will be there for the long run.

Feeling humbled

Saturday 12th Sep
Well I am feeling pretty humbled at moment, I have been pounding the pavement to get my K's up to over 150k's which I will do, today I had a friend pledge $1 for every k I complete up to 150, but just seen they donated $150 already because they know how competitive I am and determined to get it done for Team Courage.

Memory gone out in sympathy with my prostate

Sunday 6th Sep
So this morning I get up bright and early on a Sunday morning, something that I very rarely do these days, to say off to conquer my 4k for Father's day as part of Fort Courage team, I racked up 5 k's by the time I got home only to discover that I can't find my keys, so off I go again to backtrack to try to find them, did the same loop again with no luck finding the keys so I get the hidden key that most of us have stashed somewhere around your house, was feeling a bit tired by this stage after a total of 10.3 k's, limped inside and what should I see, my keys sitting on the dresser. Got to love getting old.
