I’m taking on The Long Run
This September, I’m taking part in The Long Run to raise awareness and crucial funds for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.
I’m aiming to walk (and run) 150km for the month and raise $500 towards crucial research projects and better treatment and support for the thousands of Australian men living with and beyond prostate cancer. Despite enormous advances in treatment, prostate cancer still kills around 3500 men every year, with thousands of prostate cancer survivors living with debilitating and lifelong side effects from treatment. More needs to be done to achieve the Prostate Cancer Foundation’s vision of no man dying from prostate cancer by 2040.
